Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is arguably the most peculiar museum in the country. Situated 14 miles west of Doha — this museum features the private collection of Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani.

Obtained from all over the world — the objects and artefacts exhibit Sheikh’s life story in an intriguing manner. He has been collecting the objects since he was 10 years old. These consist of 4 categories including coins and currency, Qatari heritage, Islamic art and vehicles. Some noticeable objects include old religious books, amazing textiles and a bomb from the Ottoman Empire. Don’t forget to check out the room filled with old vintage cars and pearling boats.

Doha's Corniche and dhows

Doha corniche, which is a 7-km long promenade, sprawls over the Persian Gulf in the West Bay from the Sheraton Hotel to the Museum of Islamic Art. Katara Cultural Village

It also houses a large Greco-Roman amphitheatre which has the capacity to accommodate an enormous 5,000 audience. The amphitheatre hosts several events including international music acts and folk dancing.
